Ed Sweeney, aka Uncle Ed, is an independent financial planner who owns his own investment company. Uncle Ed has been a financial planner since 1996. Uncle Ed has an admiration for creative people and entrepreneurs.

Uncle Ed loves music, movies, radio, sports and coaching basketball. As a child, Uncle Ed listened to the radio all hours of the day. He would listen to the "Good Guys" on WMCA and Larry King before he was a national name. Sporting events were also a favorite of Uncle Ed. Listening to the Yankees, Knicks or especially the Nets (after they moved to New Jersey!) was a source of enjoyment for Uncle Ed. Cable television was in its infancy at that time and local radio was they way to follow your teams.

Blessed with many nieces and nephews and godchildren outside of his own family, Uncle Ed enjoys watching and coaching basketball. Uncle Ed can be seen at more than 100 games during the season. He gets the same enjoyment watching second graders as he does watching the high school players.

When given the chance to host a radio show, Uncle Ed jumped at the offer. A long time admirer of Howard Stern, Uncle Ed felt compelled to give radio a try. Uncle Ed knows that Howard Stern is not for everyone, but feels that Howard Stern has advanced a once listless medium to a whole other level. Uncle Ed feels that Howard Stern possesses a sharp wit and political/social insights that are amazing.

Uncle Ed hopes he can covey the same type of insight.
